HINT: If you have ever written a persuasive or a problem/solution essay, this speech is very similar.

Try to pick issues with which your audience may not be familiar or on which they have not yet made up their minds. Address the major opposing viewpoints and offer reasoning and evidence in support of your position. Your thesis should be free of blatant fallacies. PART ONE: Craft an outline that (1) establishes the existence of a problem in the minds of your audience and (2) offers a clear and explicit set of actions that your audience can take to help resolve the matter. You need a well-organized message that reflects a clear sense of purpose. Try to focus on something tangible your audience can actually do something about.
