Paper Requirements: Students will present a power point and 4-5page research proposal (cover page to references) about a component of intercultural communication that exists in the United States or abroad. Your paper must include aspects of intercultural communication discussed in your text and other existing resources, including, but not limited to, Building Blocks, Imperatives, and Barriers. It should also include a communication component. Presentation Requirements Essays come in all shapes and sizes, but there are a few things that good academic essays usually have in common:

An introduction; a main argument or series of arguments, backed up with appropriate examples and references to other researchers; a conclusion. Your essay should also include a title page and a Reference List. The title page and Reference List are not included in the word count. Please include a cover sheet with the following details: a. Your student ID (please do not add your name to the document) b. Your course c. Assessment title d. Word count Please number each page in your document. Try to list at least three groups you have been a part of while in college, whether formal or informal, and describe what type of group they are. How have those groups functioned as building blocks for or smaller points of access to organizations or communities? Describe the organizations or communities these groups contribute to and how/why. What are you struggling with in trying to identify what groups you have been part of?
