Final Paper: “What are the experiences of Uber eats drivers in the gig economy and how has the gig economy impacted their lives?” The growth of the gig economy has had a significant impact on the labor market. With the rise of companies such as Uber, Lyft, and Uber eats, workers are now able to access a range of short-term, flexible work opportunities. However, the implications of this new form of work on workers’ rights and employment legislation remain largely unknown. This research project seeks to explore the experiences of Uber eats drivers and the impact that the gig economy has had on their lives.
