Paper instructions: You will be required to submit a research paper on a Senator and a Representative serving in the US Congress. You choice may not be a senator and representative from Texas. The senator and representative must not be from the same state. The paper must be at least five pages in length (not counting your work cited page), typed, double spaced in 12 pt font. You must include at least three academic resources, in MLA format on your work cited page. The following information must be included in the paper: 1. A brief (no more than 4-6 sentences) bio on family and educational background.

2. Information on their most recent campaign program, initiatives, proposals introduced during his/her most recent election or re-election campaign 3. Discuss committees that the senator/representative serve on and in what capacity. 4. Discuss at least 3 bills introduced by your senator/representative and include the reasons for its proposal (why it is necessary), what groups it supports/alienates, public opinion for or against the bill, and final results (such as died in committee, passed by both legislative houses, still in committee, signed by President into law) 5.
