A video presentation (3–5 mins) on your Research Plan, uploaded (or linked) to a new thread posted to the designated Discussion topic. (Consider such platforms as PowerPoint, Panopto, Flip, QuickTime, your smart phone’s camera app, etc.). (10 points) 3. At least one, substantive discussion reply, posted to one or more of the presentation discussion threads, giving your reactions and feedback to the presenter. Introduction and Statement of Research Interest In 2–3 paragraphs, introduce your plan for your proposed project and summarize your research interests for pursing a study on your selected topic. This opening section of your plan should offer insight into your passion for this subject, how further research on this topic would benefit your personal/professional goals, as well as the field of cannabis studies and society more generally. You may wish to draw on your Statement of Research Interest submitted earlier in the course. \

II. Statement of Research Question State, succinctly, the driving question that you wish to pursue through your proposed research study. Your statement may consist of 1–2 complete, well-written sentences. Be sure that your stated question aligns with the features of a well-stated research question presented earlier in this course. III. Research Methods Summarize in 1–2 paragraphs the methods you propose to apply in your proposed research study, and explain how those draw on one or more social justice theories/methodologies as covered in this course. Be sure to specify how you will collect data to inform your research study.

Explain why your proposed methods are appropriate for investigating your question. IV. Review of Prior Studies In 3–4 paragraphs, summarize key highlights from 4 or more references that offer a window into the prior research conducted on your selected topic. Be sure to cite your sources using APA style, both when you mention the sources in the body of your text, as well as in the References section. (For tips on APA style, consult online resources, for example The Citation Machine).
