In this assignment, write a reaction Paper on an evaluative comparison between ancient sources and medieval sources. As particularly represented by Augustine, Anselm, and Aquinas. Note that the reaction paper could mean a philosophical reflection. A summary of topics taken and a personal evaluation on what was covered from Unit V-IX.  In addition,kindly recheck the criteria for assessing a reaction paper in the syllabus and course expectation as posted at the Content Board.

Also, limit your paper to at least 1000 words or simply two to three paragraphs. Remember  to build your essay through the following points. One, after reading the article “Medieval Philosophy” from the web, Stanford Encyclopedia of philosophy. Review what we have learned from the ancient (Greek) sources of metaphysics (Summary and Reflections). Explain the sharp contrast between the Ancient philosophy with Medieval Philosophy in general. Then, compare the views and methods used by the Greeks thinkers (Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle) with the Medieval thinkers (Augustine, Anselm, and Aquinas).

Regarding their view on reality, nature and existence of God, immortality of soul, human nature. Review the content of Augustine’s Confession, Anselm’s Proslogion, and Aquinas’ Summa Theologica as excerpted in the textbook. Three, evaluate by stating in your own words the positive and negative views which you discovered. Which of the two metaphysical sources would modern culture prefer to take as a good standpoint for explaining issues.  There whole semester requires only 3 reaction papers.  Submission will be at the assignment board.

The limited amount of words for the first two papers will be 1000. Roughly one to two pages and single spaced.  While the final reaction paper is limited to at least 1,500 words Roughly two to three pages and single spaced. In conclusion,the reaction papers must reflect the student’s objective understanding of the philosopher’s metaphysical views. It should also reflect the students application of the metaphysical theories to the student’s view on human nature, being, nature of reality, God, immortality, etc.
