Interview your parents and grandparents. 5. First, have your parents name 10 different behaviors that you developed growing up in your lifetime that they also exhibit. Again, you want to identify the exact behaviors that both you and your parents’ exhibit. 6. Make a list of the behaviors.

7. Next, according to your textbook, identify and discuss which of the behaviors you believe to be innate (such as instinctive behavior) and how does that instinctive behavior link to development?

Case Scenario: You are a researcher and want to know about people’s beliefs towards designer babies. Step 1: Create a 10-question designer baby survey that you will then ask 10 people to answer.

You can ask questions such as, what is genetic engineering, do you believe designer babies should be legal, what do you think are the risks, is it ethical, should the engineering be made only to those who can afford it, what impact will it have on society, should parents be allowed to choose certain traits in their unborn baby?, etc.

Step 2: Tally up the survey and figure out the percentage for each question. Put your answers in a graph or chart. (For example, 2 people answered yes, and 3 people answered no. Yes = 40% No = 60% Step 3: Create a graph for the answers. Step 4: Define genetic engineering. Step 5: Read the article by Sandel, M. (2007, Sep). The problem with genetic engineering. Tikkun, 22, 40-43,83-85 and answer the following question: Should genetic engineering be used across societies to “weed” out undesirable human traits, such as people with disabilities or aggressive behavior? Step 6: Defend and support with research how genetic engineering of babies might change society in the future.

It is worth understanding. Using your own words, answer these questions: What did people think the distribution of wealth really was in the United States?

Be specific – how much did people think the bottom 20% was worth, the next group, the middle 20%, the next above them, and the top? You may make a quick table or list for this answer. What was the actual distribution of wealth at the time of this video? (BTW, it has gotten more unequal over time. The top group is now worth more and the bottom is worth even less.) You may make a quick table for this, or list. Describe the difference between what people believed was true and what was actually true.
