Include the original title and author of your adaptation on your treatment. The script adaptation will include a logline, treatment, an intended audience paragraph, and a properly formatted script – with run length listed at the end. A logline is one or two sentences that summarize the basic idea of your script, the main character and the inherent conflict in the story (what the character wants and what obstacles stand in the way).

Intended audience paragraph will describe the intended audience, how the story should make them feel and how the script reflects the audience. A treatment is a preliminary outline of a story that describes the key scenes, characters and location. Stories have a beginning, middle and end (three acts). In the treatment clearly indicate the setup – the first act (beginning) of the story and the inciting incident; the second act (middle) and indicate rising action and conflict; the third act (end) and indicate the climax and resolution of your story.
