One morning, well before the start of your department’s normal working hours, you were enjoying a cup of coffee in the cafeteria, shaping up your calendar of tasks and appointments for the day, when you were approached by one of your employees. The employee, Millie Norman, one of your two or three most senior professionals in terms of service, seated herself across from you and said, “There’s something going on in the department that you need to know about, and I’ve waited far too long to tell you.” You reacted internally with both impatience and annoyance—you were not prepared to interrupt what you were doing, and you had not even invited Millie to join you.

Millie proceeded to tell you (“In strictness confidence, please, I know you’ll understand why”) that another long-term professional employee, Cathy Johnson, had been making a great many derogatory comments about you throughout the department and generally questioning your competence. For 10 minutes Millie showered you with criticism of you, your management style, and your approach to individual employees, all attributed to Cathy Johnson. On exhausting her litany, Millie proclaimed that she did not ordinarily “carry tales” but that she felt you “had a right to know, for the good of the department—but please don’t tell her I said anything.”

Although Millie’s comments were filled with “she saids” and “she dids,” and generally twice-told tales without connection to specific incidents, something extremely disturbing clicked in your mind while you were listening. Recently your posted departmental schedule had been altered, without your knowledge, in a way indicating that someone had tried to copy your handwriting and forge your initials. Two separate, seemingly unconnected comments by Millie together revealed that only one of two people could have altered your schedule. Those two people were Cathy Johnson and Millie Norman herself.

As Millie finally fell silent you were left with an intense feeling of disappointment. You wondered if you could ever again fully trust two of your key employees. Case Study Questions: Write at least one fully developed paragraph in response to each of the following questions: 1. What should be your immediate response to Millie Norman? Why? 2. Do you believe you have the basis on which to proceed with disciplinary action against someone? Why or why not? 3. How can the human resource department help you in your present concern? https://youtu.be/k9KK_0zr3LU

CORRELATING RESEARCH FINDINGS TO IDENTIFIED CLINICAL ISSUE. Clinical problem According to the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), falls caused 32,731 older individuals to die in the United States in 2018. Among older adults, falls are the main cause of hip fractures and severe brain injuries. Close to 20% of falls result in these serious injuries. Approximately 3 million senior citizens need emergency room care each year for injuries sustained in falls. Every fifth fall results in an injury, such as a head injury or broken bones (CDC, 2020).

Correlating research findings

This presentations focus will be on fall preventions, ways to protect patients from fall-related injuries and determine how to best implement procedures and interventions. The clinical question that is being asked is: “What measures can be imposed to prevent falls in the elderly and improve nursing practice?” The primary goal of further research into this topic is to identify risk factors, any barriers to educating a patient about falls, and interventions that are commonly used to prevent the outcome of a fall.

Correlating research findings

Patient falls are a nursing-sensitive quality indicator used by the American Nurses Association (1999) and the National Quality Forum (2004), who hold nursing personnel directly accountable for patient falls. The way nurses treat patients who are at risk of falling might change as a result of this criticism and possible pressure from management to lower falls in order to avoid Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) sanctions (King et al., 2018). https://youtu.be/30g69EGghKQ

Paper details: This paper is to explain why co-parenting with one parent (the mother) being physically, emotional, medical, and educational negligent and abusive is more detrimental than for child now and in future vs a father raising the child without the mother (sole custody). There is a lot of researching stating that co-parenting is more beneficial for a child than being raised in a one parent home. However, this paper needs to explain how a child being raised by a loving and doting father is more beneficial for a child now and in the long run than co-parenting with an abusive and neglecting mother.

Research Study on Co-Parenting

The primary difference between neglect and abuse is that neglect tends to happen accidentally, while abuse usually involves causing intentional harm to a child. Also discussed a child’s mental, emotional, and long term effects of being raised (co-parenting) with a mother who is abusive and neglecting (including the bullying aspect from the mother and other kids). Also discussed a child’s mental, emotional, and long term effects of being raised only by a loving and doting father. Below are sections or paragraph headings to be used in the paper.
