2. Design process book [65%]. This assignment is done individually. It’s due in week 11. Assessment mode: Log. Assessment: Design process book [65%]. Done individually. 1. What do I have to do? You have to prepare a design process book. This is an individual assignment. 2. What is a design process book? This is a carefully designed and polished communication artifact that communicates a story about the process that led to your team’s final design and provides the commentary/reflection on the progression of a project from beginning to end.

3. What should my process book include? Your process book should include design elements such as completed templates, (rough) sketches, diagrams, notes, and mind-maps from the design process. These elements have to be presented through a narrative that explains the process and provides the reflection/commentary. Your reflection should include reflecting in action and on action. The process of reflection and what constitutes a good reflection will be discussed in class. Please note that it is expected that your reflection will include theory (where appropriate).

Theory (concepts discussed in class or identified through your own research) should be used to comment on the design elements or to explain your feelings, thoughts and/or actions. The ideas that are not your own (e.g., taken out from academic literature) should be referenced using APA or Harvard referencing. Your process book should cover all five stages/modes of the design process. It should include a cover page, introduction, body, conclusion and reference list. It is up to you to decide what to include in your process book and how to structure it. Anything you created during the term could appear in your book.
