Debates on gun ownership majorly center on the purposes of guns as well as the nature of guns to be allowed. II. Gun rights are God-given rights because of the respective roles that guns play in human life. A. The bill of rights adds more bone to the fundamental rights laid in the constitution by allowing people to be in possession of arms. C. Every person has an inherent self-defense right, which means that a person can rightfully destroy anything that seems like a threat aiming to destroy life. D. The aspect did not change in any way with the introduction of governments and nations, which means that such rights were God- given a long time ago. III. Other people believe the rights are not God-given because of some solid reasoning. 1. Self-defense is an alienable right, but it does not mean that ownership of guns belongs to such rights. 2. Ownership of guns is codified in the constitution. However, it is not granted by the government, thus not making them God-given. 3. Guns kill, which is against God’s commandments, and God would never grant a right to kill anyone.

IV. The reasoning of people supporting the rights as being God-given beat that of ones against the belief, hence justifying the first school of thought.
