Whether you are fully committed to a highly specific career path, or you’re just testi:ng the wateJ;S of a career you might be into, the whole point of the assignment is to take one field or career trajectory within S~ tum it around and analyze it from a variety of perspectives. You will compose an essay of3-5 pages (double spaced, 12pt font) that explores a STEM related career from at least three different angles..

Your paper should engage at .least three of the critical approaches from the other side of these directions. Yom cover page will be a faux cover letter (not counted as the 3-5 essay pages) in the style and format of a professional, career-oriented cover letter with solid formatting, but a zero grade for content. Consider this an opportunity to talk to me ( or your potential employer) with a sense of play and daring. Anything between the official opening and closing of the letter, in format is your playground. Toe brave and assertive among you will take advantage of this. Those of you that are more shy should still take advantage of this section to address me directly if it seems helpful.

If you are shooting for the “A” your thesis will successfully bring together all your observations into one larger conclusion about the compatibility of this career field and your own skills, interests, values and goals. 6. The essay uses concrete examples and nuance to support abstract ideas and generalizations., 7. The essay uses strong transitions to link perspectives on the topic in a way that demonstrates continuity and a larger thesis.

However, for full credit DO List your sources on aQ. additional fi~al page (not~ of the 3.5 page parameters) but this list does not need to adhere to the specs of an official APA format.
