For today’s assignment we will focus on Data Definitions Table. Look up each word, phrase or name from at least two on-line sources for each one and then tell me what you think is an appropriate definition from your perspective

Data Definitions Table.

Assignment 1 Information: Assignment 1 is to provide me with a Data Definitions Table (DDT).  The format of the presentation of the information to me is up to you; however, it should be provided either in a Word (preferred), Excel or PowerPoint file. I am looking for how well you can communicate your ideas to me! The DDT document is 13% percent of your course grade and is therefore important. Look up each word, phrase or name from at least two on-line sources for each one and then tell me what you think is an appropriate definition from your perspective. (An example) What is your thoughts and definition on the word:

My perspective is that it is a person that reflects the highest potential and esteem in any one area of their expertise. Note: that I would grade the above set of responses as an 83 to 85, so to get a better grade it has to be better than this example. Note that I did copy and paste the two from online sources and said which source they were obtained.  See page two (2) for the rubric. Rubric is: Grading for the Data Definition Table assignment will be from my perspective on how well you completed the task: · Unacceptable: 0 to 69; Not complete, and did not follow instructions · Marginally acceptable = 70 to 77, you did not provide an adequate definitions with weak communication skills used.

Acceptable = 78 to 83 it was done with little to no added value from you. · Acceptable with some efforts shown but considered by me that you just completed the assignment for a grade= 83 to 87. Tell me what you believe it means? Good communication skill shown. · Added value = 88 to 89. You told me something of value in your definition. · Interesting, useful, thoughtful, shows depth and analysis of the word/phrase, overall communicated well. = 90 to 92. · Well done, in my opinion. Thoughtful, insightful, shows good efforts, resourceful in use of sources. Your opinion was excellently thought through and communicated well. = 93 to 95.

Data Definitions Table.

An impressive use of resources, use of language to show your understanding of the word or phrase. Well written and show knowledge, judgement, and the ability to communicate it very well = 96 to 100. In the business school we always talk about being professional but seldom say what it actually is. It is not an easy definition and varies with each person; however, the more professional you are the further you will go in your career.
