Ethics Case Scenario – Paper instructions: A newly appointed executive director of a teen crisis center met with each of the program managers in an effort to learn more about the agency’s services, strengths, and challenges. During a meeting with the manager of the addictions program, the manager shared that the former executive director had embellished the service reports that were recently submitted to the state mental health department that provides most of the funding for the addictions program.

The manager expressed concern about the declining number of clients in the program and believes the former executive director increased service numbers in the report to ensure that funds for the program would not be cut.
