We currently stand poised for both novel therapeutic modifications as well as the possibility of bioengineered ‘transhumans’ modified for non-medical reasons. First, consider the case of modifying humans for medical therapies. What information would YOU need to agree to subject a family member to an experimental gene therapy? What about yourself?
