Assignment 3 Part 2: Career Summary and Reflection For Assignment 3 Part 2, you’ll complete a Career Summary and Reflection. You can receive up to 50 points for Part 2. Career Summary Directions: Using only NCCareers.org, the Occupational Outlook Handbook, and/or Ferguson’s Career Guide, research your chosen career. It can be a career that you researched last week for Part 1, or it could be a new career that you’re interested in. Find the following information about the career and type it in a bulleted list at the top of your paper. You must use the information from the above sites; do NOT rely on information you know anecdotally or from personal experience.

Career Summary and Reflection.

Daily tasks: What are the day-to-day responsibilities of this career? This will likely be a list found under the “What They Do” tab in the OOH. Here’s an example. Build and maintain testing procedures and test environment; make and install parts; operate and calibrate computer systems; record data; write and present reports Education and training requirements: What formal credential is required? Is there any licensing or continuing education requirements? At least a Bachelor of Science degree although a graduate degree is usually preferred in fields such as physics or engineering.

Career Summary and Reflection.

License must be obtained and renewed every 6 years. Potential work schedules: Is this job 9-5? Does it require weekend or evening hours? Will you need to be on call? Do you work 3 12-hr shifts? Does the average employee work more than 40 hours per week? Job outlook: This should be a % that indicates if the demand for this position in the near future. 8% which is about average growth Career Reflection After typing this researched information at the top of the document, write a well-organized one-page (at least) essay with at least three double-spaced paragraphs that reflects on how this information affects your current career exploration.

How do you feel about the career now that you have learned more about it? What do you make of what you learned? (I did not know that OT Assistants need to have a moderate degree of strength because of the physical exertion required to assist patients. For today’s assignment we will focus on HR Performance Management. This project requires you to develop a PowerPoint slide presentation for use as an informative presentation on your paper topic.

Power Point Topic: Final Research Topic Instructions: This project requires you to develop a PowerPoint slide presentation for use as an informative presentation on your paper topic. You should focus the majority of your presentation (i.e., 8-10 slides) on what makes the topic for your research presentation. You should also provide some information on how this topic is related to Performance Management. There should be an introduction slide, a topic overview slide, 8-10 slides on presentation techniques, a conclusion slide, and lastly a reference slide.

HR Performance Management.

Do not overcrowd your slides, instead use the “notes” feature of PowerPoint to list your talking points on each slide for me to read what you would actually be saying. Submission Instructions: The body of your presentation should include at least 8-10 presentation slides, in addition to a title slide, introduction slide(s), and references at the end of your presentation for a total of no more than 15 slides. PowerPoint presentations longer than 15 slides will not be read after the 15th slide. Your grade will be based upon your ability to follow assignment instructions, research conducted, content, organization and APA format.

Please support your ideas, arguments, and opinions with independent research, include at least three (3) supporting references or sources (do NOT use your textbook as one of the three required references, or encyclopedias, Wikipedia, unknown, undated, or anonymous sources, such as brief articles from websites), include a reference section (i.e., 1-2 slides), and cite all sources properly in the text of each slide, in accordance with the 7th edition of the APA manual.
