Assignment 3 Part 2: Career Summary and Reflection For Assignment 3 Part 2, you’ll complete a Career Summary and Reflection. You can receive up to 50 points for Part 2. Career Summary Directions: Using only NCCareers.org, the Occupational Outlook Handbook, and/or Ferguson’s Career Guide, research your chosen career. It can be a career that you researched last week for Part 1, or it could be a new career that you’re interested in. Find the following information about the career and type it in a bulleted list at the top of your paper. You must use the information from the above sites; do NOT rely on information you know anecdotally or from personal experience.

Daily tasks: What are the day-to-day responsibilities of this career? This will likely be a list found under the “What They Do” tab in the OOH. Here’s an example. Build and maintain testing procedures and test environment; make and install parts; operate and calibrate computer systems; record data; write and present reports Education and training requirements: What formal credential is required? Is there any licensing or continuing education requirements? At least a Bachelor of Science degree although a graduate degree is usually preferred in fields such as physics or engineering.

License must be obtained and renewed every 6 years. Potential work schedules: Is this job 9-5? Does it require weekend or evening hours? Will you need to be on call? Do you work 3 12-hr shifts? Does the average employee work more than 40 hours per week? Job outlook: This should be a % that indicates if the demand for this position in the near future. 8% which is about average growth Career Reflection After typing this researched information at the top of the document, write a well-organized one-page (at least) essay with at least three double-spaced paragraphs that reflects on how this information affects your current career exploration.
