The value of an Eastern education is that you learn not only the knowledge, skills and attitudes of your chosen field of study, as well as developing a Christian worldview. Here are some possible questions that you might address in your analysis: 1. How will you sustain your faith during your career?
Faith Integration Research Paper
2. What might challenge your faith in your career? 3. How have others personally addressed those challenges (research component of the paper)? From your studies and experiences here at Eastern University, our hope is that you will be in a position to think critically and Christianly about your own chosen field and how to integrate a Christian worldview. Every field of study includes research from a secular perspective. Sometimes this scholarship compliments Christian beliefs; other times it contradicts them.
Faith Integration Research Paper
The goal is the development of a life-long strategy for integrating faith and learning so that you develop a coherent Christian worldview. This strategy should include three sections: In the first section, you will identify common ground between your faith and your field of study. Sociology of Work.

Describe what you did, especially so that someone can replicate it if you collected data. ) · Hypothesis (if you are collecting data, what is your hypothesis?) · Analysis and results (analyze the important patterns in the data you collect or literature you review. Sociology of Work.
Helpful hints and Common Mistakes: Do not be too brief in your writing, including sentences, statements, paragraphs. Elaborate where possible. Do not assume the reader knows exactly what you are discussing. Guide them through the trees in the forest so to speak. Use clear descriptive terms, not vague ones such as “decent amount”. Do not ramble on or combine too much information or unconnected ideas in one paragraph. Do not write paragraphs which are a whole page or more long.
Sociology of Work.
Do not make new unique statements that substantiated somehow with evidence, facts, logic in the body of the paper (ex. “everyone knows that Fords are better than Chevys”). Do convince the reader that you have done your homework, namely, that you have read and reviewed a number of scholarly sources on the topic, have thought seriously about what they have said or wrote, connected findings to the sociology of work, and forged a solid conclusion based on a thorough analysis of your collected data, evidence, or existing literature. https://youtu.be/u-H6BDqpYW8

Historical context of a film 2022 Best
For Paper 1 you will address 4 areas: the historical context of a film, the major ideas and issues presented, a major sociological perspective for film interpretation, and the film’s purpose.
Historical context of a film
Course Paper Information Paper 1 For Paper 1 you will address 4 areas: the historical context of the film, the major ideas and issues presented, a major sociological perspective for film interpretation, and the film’s purpose. This paper should be about 2-3 pages in length. Description of Content Areas Historical Context (25 points): Historical context refers to the immediate social and historical factors that shape life in a given time period. Draw from the historical period depicted in the film. Consider the following questions (this does not mean that you have to directly answer each question): What is the time period (year, era) within the film?
Historical context of a film
How does the film reflect (or not) the social context of that time period? Discuss any relevant major events that took place during the time period, that influence or shape the film content. What were some of the beliefs, norms, and values (culture) of the time period? How does the culture of the time period impact the behavior and ideas presented in the film? If using a futuristic film, use the current time period (2022) to make assumptions about why the “future” looks the way that it does in the film. Refer to relevant events, culture, and ideologies of our current time period that have shaped the depiction of the future.
Historical context of a film
Historical events should only be mentioned if they are directly connected to events or issues in the film/series. This section requires the use of credible sources, aside from the textbook. Cite the source(s) in the text of this section. Major Sociological Perspective (25 points): Identify a major sociological perspective (functionalist, symbolic interaction, conflict, feminist) that aligns best with the film. Discuss how the perspective can be used to interpret and analyze the film. It is recommended that you choose only one theory and explore it in depth. Consider the following questions (you do not have to directly answer each of the questions): How would the film be described using the perspective of your chosen theory?
Historical context of a film
What aspects of the film does the theory guide you to look at specifically? What are some of the limitations in the scope of the theory? Major Ideas/Issues (25 points): This paragraph should specifically state the most important ideas and issues of your film/series. Think critically about these things. What shapes and/or complicates the lives of the characters? Avoid one word responses. For example: One of the major issues presented in the film is social class. Avoid vague responses. For example: One of the major ideas in the film is that things change.
Historical context of a film
Purpose (25 points): In this paragraph, consider the following: What direct or indirect message(s) does the film convey? Are there certain actions that the film suggests that its audiences take (based on the ideas and behaviors portrayed)? In essence, contemplate why the film was made. How does the film help us to understand the society in which we live? You are strongly encouraged to begin drafting the paper right away. Do not hesitate to contact me in-person or via email for assistance. The Writing Lab is located in the Learning Commons and is a great resource for help with this paper.
